The Mentalist finale – Red John revealed! TV News comments.

The Mentalist is a show I always watch, but don’t necessarily love. One of my favourite little undiscovered gems is a show from a few years ago called The Guardian, my introduction to Simon Baker (who I since realised I saw in LA Confidential as the Hollywood rent boy and as a charming aquaintance of Andi’s in The Devil Wears Prada.) I could spend a while talking about The Guardian and how much I loved the Nick/Lulu relationship on that show. Simon Baker proved to be a huge hit on The Mentalist as a totally charming ex-tv type psychic who helps Robin Tunney and the California Bureau of Investigation solve … Continue reading

TV Catch Up – Body of Proof, Nikita, Chase, Breakout Kings, Bones, Hellcats, Desperate Housewives, The Killing and some cancellations

I am so way behind, it is time for a race through and catch up on some shows. Body of Proof continues to improve, Nikita ends its first season on a real high, Bones kills off a character, Hellcats future isn’t looking to promising and has been a little flat lately, The Killing isn’t quite doing anything much while a whole stack of shows have been axed and quite a few on my viewing list. Drat! Chase, Off the Map, V, No Ordinary Family, Mr Sunshine, Lie To Me, The Chicago Code, Human Target – all I can say is there better be lots of good new shows…

Zombies vs Cheerleaders on Hellcats, House, Game of Thrones, Body of Proof

Hellcats returned with a fun episode that featured Dan’s student movie – a pretty awesome zombie/cheerleader romp. Amber Tamblyn ended her stint on House with a really good episode. I was not especially impressed with the much hyped Game of Thrones, while I spent most of Body of Proof saying to myself ‘Christina Hendricks is married to HIM!!’

The Good Wife, V, No Ordinary Family, Hellcats

Another terrific episode of The Good Wife is the standout of the latest batch of my tv viewing, although Lucy Lawless and Tricia Helfer popping up on No Ordinary Family was something I was looking forward to a lot. Elizabeth Mitchell flashed her undies on V while the Hellcats bonded with their rivals from that Christian college.

Guilty Pleasures – Hellcats and Off the Map also Modern Family, Mr Sunshine

While Glee and The Good Wife top my ‘best of the week’ list, two shows that I love but in a far more ‘ok, not classics but I love them’ ones were on my viewing list today. Hellcats is one part Bring It On (the very best – maybe only good – cheerleader movie), with a dash of Glee and a smidgeon of High School Musical (which I finally got round to watching and kind of loved today…the shame!!) Hellcats works for me because I really like the characters. OK so lead character Marti looks and dresses like a pole dancer, but HSM veteran Ashley Tisdale is just so darn … Continue reading

The Good Wife, Hellcats, Pretty Little Liars, Off the Map

You know when you are eating a delicious meal? Are you the sort of person who eats the good stuff first, or saves it til the end? or do you eat a bit at a time? I feel like that when a new episode of The Good Wife is on my viewing list. (I usually save it til last!)
